Bike Racks
I've just bought a mountain bike as i want something to do of a night and to get me a bit fitter, problem is, till now i've always assumed the seats in my scoob folded down , and to my disbelief i found out they don't
I've took the bike to bits but there's no way it's fitting in there. I'm thinking of getting a bike rack, but with the scoobs spoiler i'm unsure if there gonna be suitable, it only needs to carrry one bike. Does anyone have one on here they can reccomend thats not gonna break the bank ?? Cheers.

i took both wheels off, put the seat down and it didn't look like it wanted to go in, i'll give it another go tomorrow, my bike is a 19" frame so it's quite big.

Your looking at least wheels and seatpost have to go, if it's still tight you can unbolt the handlebars for some movement.
I can however adjust my forks lower to make it fit easier but it is perfectly doable.

I used to have a bike rack on the back of a WRX. I can't imagine the STi would be any different. Mine was from Halfords and had a bit that rested on the bumper and another that rested on the boot lid (under the spoiler) and then a load of straps held it tight.
The other option is always roof bars too. Probably easier access on the roof.

I have a 19" Kona King which if I take the wheels off and the seat post out will fit on the back seat (obviously put a cover on the seat first). I have never tried squeezing it into the boot though, would have to remove my sub first.

Sold the Subaru about 4 years ago. Dealer should be able to tell you though.

There are versions of the Impreza with folding rear seats, I know this because I converted mine. In this case all you have to do is emove the front wheel. Another option is to fit a tow hook and buy the bike rack that fits on the tow hook. I would avoid the roof rack, to avoid mud/gravel falling onto the roof.
