just a rant really, had a beer you know how it is.

i've imported 3 golf drivers from america (ebay) in the last few weeks and having been stung before by using fedex i've managed to convince 2 of the sellers to send them by other courier (us postal service IIRC) the other guy insisted on fedex so i thought it might slip thru the net.

all 3 have turned up within a coupe of days, and **** me what a surprise a fedex invoice landed on the mat this morning! the other couriers? nothing.

so as well as being a moan, is this just a fedex scam to land a hefty admin charge each invoice?

not bitter about paying the duty by way, you pays your money you take a chance. well up so far

DHL just as bad.

The last couple from USPS>Parceltards have been held to ransom too.. at least the others don't hang onto them for a week before sending you the note .

TNT and especially Royal mail are good for it.

I think everyone has cottoned on to the fact that they can all have their own slice of the pie too.

They all charge you (if picked from the millions) for "handling" which is just fronting the cash for you to HMC&E to clear the items into the country.

I once paid about £30 for ParcelFarce to pay £4 for me, so eventual cost was £34 instead of the £4 "taxes" to be paid.

A it will also of course depend on what commercial invoices and declared value for the items are

DHL tried to charge me 6 weeks after I'd had the parcels. I told them I'd already paid the taxes myself and they could go and jump.
