New Car...contract hire, lease, PCP.. etc..etc
I'm thinking of getting myself (or would like to) an Audi A5, but theres so many different deals to be had that I'm not sure what to go for. I'm self employed so could get a deal on business contract and hopefully offset some of the cost against tax, but I'm really not sure what deal to get.
Any advice is welcome or explanation of the deals and a recommendation of where to go as it seems a mine field
Cheers
Phil

I'm considering leasing as it offers a fixed monthly sum for a new car, it also does not tie up my capital in terms of having to put down large deposits. I guess it depends on how many miles you drive, the leased car will be primarily for my wife to use and should do less than 10k p.a.
I'm not too bothered about actually owning the car itself - doesn't seem much point trying to own something that just goes down in value!
Cheers

I'll be doing less than 8000 miles a year and mines the same reason really, I dont want to tie up loads of cash on something thats always gonna depreciate. I've never financed a car before, its always been bought by cash hence the reason for the thread, I'm also wondering if its worth getting VAT registered which will also bring the costs down slightly.
I'm also unsure of which would be better, pcp, contract hire, lease etc etc..
Thanks so far, more opinions/advice welcome

My current Scoob is leased from Lloyds TSB on a 3 + 35mnth deal for 60k miles @ £425/mnth. I did look at including servicing but it was an amazing £150 per month.
The last Scoob was through IM lease finance and included servicing at a more reasonable £70 per month.
I'm self employed and claim 90% of the ex VAT lease cost through the business and 50% of the lease VAT.
Ther is such a choice in leasing that all I can say is take 3 quotes.
Both lease co.s I have used have been all but invisible once the car was purchased and I've only needed to deal with them over putting on a private plate, which both of them sorted out very professionally.

A good friend of mine owns a leasing company.
Sunrise Leasing - A New Dawn In Motor Leasing
He is a top bloke and wont give you the hard sell or sell you something you dont want and is very competative.
he'll go through it in laymans terms and get you the best deal possible.
Worth a phone call.
ask for Richie and say Carl reccommended you you might get a few quid off
