Back to the OP - Depends what you need the device for really. I'm not convinced by Smartphones yet. For exmaple, the N73 has been slaughtered in The Netherlands for being an unreliable and buggy PoS. Upgrade software not Mac compatible either. Also have heard bad things about the iPhone's battery life. I'm sure some fanboys will be along to correct me again though
I have a company Nokia 6021 and it does everything I need *and* it doesn't need charging every day. Then again I am a grumpy old git these days!

Yeah I have to say, depending what you want, will depend on the recommendation.
N96 if its all singing all dancing.
5610 for robust, practical and full of features
6301 for a basic good looking phone that covers all bases
Thats the Nokia perspective anyway.

I wish i had been in a position to get the Tytn II (O2 XDA Stella) as it's basically a full blown PDA with full keyboard and GPS (with 3Meg camera) all rolled in to one!
Guy at work has the Orange Tytn II variant and it's stonking

Had a few HTC's over the years, and loved them. But have to day the last one I had was the most impressive I have had yet. Sadly it had software issues so went back. But agree, for a fully loaded, actually functional phone, something like this is superb HTC S710 - Full phone specifications

My choice was this or the N95. Went for the N95 - more toys. But the wife has the 6300 - cracking phone. And was in the Nokia shop the other day and the guy there said he'd rather have a 6300 than a 6500 because of the battery life. Nice looking phone though.

i cant believe that nobody has recommended the sony ericsson w960i.
got it about 4/5 weeks ago, much better than its predecessor, the w880i
has software problems, but if sent to the netweork, fixed for free. the w960i though is an awesome bit of kit.... got it on 18 month deal £40p/m on vodafone. £499 in the shops

I was debating what phone to get out of the iPhone or N95but went for a Nokia N82 in the end. Had it just over a week and so far its all good, same spec as a N95 but in candy bar style which I prefer.
Just one thing with it which i`d like to ask N95 users if you go into your contact list does it say name and number or just name whitch mine does, I`d like it to display name and number if possible any way to do this I can`t find it in the manuel though.

the touch screen is not that easy for me to use though, some friends have mentioned it is wide and it also developed some dead pixels too though
