Latest Renault Clio advert
Okay, you may have seen the advert I'm talking about. The one with a bus of tourists travelling through some rich area in America. There are loads of nice cars parked outside the huge houses etc.
Then, when the tourist bus goes, all the rich people garage their nice cars and break out their Clios.
Now, is it just me, or does this advert just say rich people wouldn't be seen dead driving a Clio? I can't begin to imagine what the marketing execs at Renault were thinking when they created the advert... If there's one thing that really pisses me off, it's rubbish car adverts (Mazda tbh).
IT ENRAGES ME

Calm down dear! It's just a commercial.
Seriously though, surely just in contrast to the Thierry Henri adverts, where they tried to convince us a man who could buy a number of these cars every week, with his spare change, REALLY likes his Renault?

The ads I think are odd are the ones like Nationwide, where they have the big fat useless slob at the rival building society. Whenever I think Nationwide now, I just think of him!
Hardly a good image for your company to be putting in people's minds!

Ha ha These ads make me laugh because they are so out of touch and way off target.
You could spend a long time driving around the US and never find a Clio.
The Nationwide ads are funny, but the message that everybody remembers is that Nationwide is crap
Renault need a reality check - last year they were telling us to buy their cars because the boot looked vaguely some bird's bum. Or was it a bloke's **** off.
I say bring back BARRY SCOTT. I'M BARRY SCOTT. At least he'll keep your pennies clean. Jeez how I worry about my dirty coppers

If we're talking good adverts, then the latest Polo advert is probably the best going at the moment. Bloody hilarious, and captures the idea behind the Polo perfectly. VW are always great with adverts.
Honda - Also fantastic. But I think my favourite of all time would be the RS4 advert with the spider/car thing, and the RS6 advert (didn't see it on TV, only on youtube), of a guy riding a raging bull which then turns into the RS6 - Made me want to cry.
