Useless council
Just rang the local council to find out why they didn't collect the rubbish yesterday only to be told - it was too windy. I mean WTF........
Are they too lazy to get out of bed or something because it's windy.
I've been told they'll do a 'double collection' next Monday. So does that mean they'll come twice or what. Oh and I've got to take it in and store it to stop it blowing around the street! Why do I pay council tax again; someone remind me!
Useless *****.
I feel much better after telling you all this

... and breathe ......
Ours just use any excuse not to back their lorry up our Close to pick up the rubbish. We complain and they usually do come back the next day (Saturday) so I guess they get good overtime rates!
But apart from the rubbish I have zero dealing with the council. Oh, apart from paying a shedload of dosh every month for the poll tax ...

Last year, before we got the FOURTH of our bins, my landfill bin was emptied once a fortnight.
Now we have two lads who drink milk and pop like they are going out of circulation, so we ALWAYS had bottles in the bin, even though they were crushed flat.
I had to jump up and down in the bin regularly to get the lid to close.
One week I must have overdone it, because when I went to the gate to collect the empty bin it wasn't.........empty, that is. It was still three quarters full, with compacted rubbish.
I rang the council, to be told it was my fault, and they would re-empty in two weeks if I loosened the rubbish.
After a brief argument I ended up telling the lady that they had better come back and empty it, or, the NEXT day, I would contact the local rag, and the local TV, and have them come and film me/photograph me tipping it on the local council offices steps.
They came back and emptied it.

What kind of service is that - not even half way to a gale here tis morning and what are they afrid of anyway :*******:
And next door have done their usual trick of course and stuck out a couple of black plastic bags ( no bin) so by the nd of the week the place will be plastered with ****e and seagulls galore

Now we have to suffer the fact that everyones rubbish is blowing all over the place. The council won't pick that us so the whole street will just have to look a mess.
Binmen hardworking unsung heros - pah my ****! Maybe compared to you Pete - wish I had all day to complain about Currys on the interweb

Oh dear we are a little testy today!
Perhap's they were concerned about the strong winds blowing rubbish all over the place while whey were emptying the bins! They always seem to be working hard enough when I see them picking the rubbish up though.

How comes everyone gets bins? We dont?
We have to use good old fashioned black sacks - we're provided pink sacks for recycling and black boxes for glass which is collected every two weeks - black sacks are collected weekly!
But no sooner do you put the rubbish out then the foxes come and tear it all open. I've taken to tipping bleach in my bin liners and poisen the ******* - but they just don't learn
