I wish someone had had a camera for when I accidentally skied off course.
Took a wrong turn, ended up off pieste (sp), and the next thing I see is a little rocky thing coming towards me. It was strangely shaped, very regular. In fact it looked so unusually regular, that I was becoming more certain that it was man made. Finally, at a distance of about 5 metres I realised it was a chimney stack that had been built into the side of the hill
All of a sudden the 2 metre wide berth I had given it seemed all too small.
I think you can see where this is going.....chimney stack = roof = big fall. Thankfully into a big snow drift
The next day going up the ski lift we could all see my tracks that had gone straight over some chaps house roof, only to end in a big crater somewhere on his front lawn

A mate told me of a time he tried a jump and landed in a drift up to his ankles... he managed to dig himself out and just as he cleared the area, someone else came flying in and filled the very hole he'd just vacated!
