Hotels in Bristol
Hi guys,
I am after a decent hotel in or around Bristol, i need to stay here for at least a couple of weeks due to business commitments.
Came down yesterday & i am staying in the Ramada Plaza at the moment.
I am looking for a nice setting ie country if available with pool & gym the usual bar & a half decent eaterie.
Will be staying Sunday to Thursday nights.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks

Not in the country but I've used Bristol Hotels : Aztec Hotel and Spa, Bristol Official Site, Luxury Hotel in Avon, UK and found it reasonable.

I THINK the Ramada Plaza is the one out by Bradly Stoke or whatever its called.... quite a way from town. I've stayed at the big one at the bottom of the hill before, by the river. Can't remember its name but it is well known amongst the locals...... highly highly recommend it.
Just did a search and its the Marriott

Not country, but Holland House is the best value in the Temple Meads / Redcliffe area. Free internet, gym, pool etc but room service is crap.

redwood lodge is good, and being a guest at the hotel you can use all the gym facilties.
i am a member of the gym there and its certainly good for fanny spotting
and its only about 10-15 minutes drive from the centre.

Where do you need to get to for work? I don't know the hotels that well, but I do know that rush hour traffic in Bristol can be a real PITA so I'd advise finding somewhere close to work if you'll be travelling during rush hour.

I always stay here when working in Bristol -
Tracy Park Golf Club, (The Gloucestershire), Tracy Park, Bath Road, Wick, Gloucestershire, BS30 5RN
Telephone 0117 937 2251
Nice country setting, very relaxed, stone cottage type rooms.
