Sixth or 'Sikth'?!
Is the English language going through metamorphosis (no Kafka jokes please)? Sixth was always pronounced 'siksth' not 'sikth'. What's with the current trend to pronounce it sikth?

No Andy you pronounce it as it should be, not the new fangled hip and trendy manner.

The second S should be pronounced because of the X.

you think you have problems!! Six in German is sechs pronounced sex or if you want to be absolutely correct zex but is so satisfying when a fit waitress asks you summat and you have to reply with "sechs bitte"
don't know any other country where you won't get arrested for asking a waitress for "sechs"
