LG LCD TV's-Any good ?
I was going to buy a 37" Samsung LCD TV but have seen an LG 37" TV in Currys for £499 in the sale.
My girlfriends dad bought one about 2 months ago and paid £799,seems like a good tv with good features.
Anyone know anything about them ?

Yes, good rep, however this uses a Samsung panel if you fancy a 40

I have a LG Plasma 42" and it has a flashing pixel - that said, it has the best picture I have seen on any TV at any price.
I hate LG, I hate their attitude to customers - but, I have to admit that they make THE BEST TVs ............. I'm sure they are owned by Carlsberg .. if Carlsberg made TVs

So what's wrong with the Teco to be so cheap. If its got a good panel, there must be something else they have skimped on? Otherwise Samsung are basically selling their panels to someone else, so that they can undercut them with their own technology?

i have a 32" LG lcd (720p) and with an LG dvd player on upscale via HDMI it's excellent; crisp and with good contrast and blacks too.
with a broadcast signal - in the showroom it was pants, but we never use a live source.
total price £900 a year ago.

i've been looking at that too. we have a 17" samsung (not all that great) and a 17" widescreen bush (bl00dy good in comparison to the samsung) but want a 32" LCD for the lounge when we've finished all our work in the room
thought the LG looked good value and i know they have a good rep for LCD screens...plus it has mrs g's initials on it
