Bought a roasting tin today from Tesco. The label on the back said "will become hot when in use". Is there any hope for us?

We need to get back to survival of the fittest.... a few hundred years ago all these people would be dead before they reached adulthood - much to the benefit of society as a whole.

One of my pals works for a large company who were successfully sued by one it's employees as they had not been given sufficient training to do their Job.

The employee was electrocuted when she unplugged the hoover from the extension cable.

She had not been trained that to unplug the hoover when it was underwater (in a pudlle that had formed) was unsafe !

Yep - we're doomed.

I bought a bottle of Lemonade, it said on the lid. You may have seen this on a leading brand. . . . . .

"Please Open By Hand".

So, now people get compensation for being careless, and a tad silly.

Might try that myself, time off work and a wedge of cash

This is the crux of it,
a breed of ambulance chasing law firms circling as they smell blood
The compensation system being abused (by some)
Some people who have neither the inclination to work and/or see this as fair game and how to get some money for nothing.

People should not be compensated for stupidity or carelessness. This is what spoils a system which should be in place to help those who genuinely have been injured because of neglegence (sp) on the part of employers etc.

Its just society these days Lisa, people want something for nothing. We can sit here all day & discuss it, but it won`t change a thing. People will just be even more determind to get something for nothing.
