Scraps in my chippy was the tiny crunchy chips and bits of fish batter you'd get for free or for a couple of pence... They were great crunchy yumyums...
I knew the owner of our local chippy and so got free potato fritters (or scollops / specials as they are known round these parts) instead!
Pea Wet sounds like the slurry of the very needy That was never asked for in my neck of the woods It sounds like something I do in my trousers after 14 pints

I used to get the odd bag of scraps. I don;t think we called them scraps. I can;t remember what name we gave to them now. Anyway, this was in North London, so it can be had dahn sarf is you know where to go.
Even more bizarre was when I took my mate from stockport to the local Kebab shop after the pub and he asked for.....
A Kebab-o-muffin.
I looked at him like he had just told me he had given the queen one up the wrong'un.
I mean what kind of madness is that?
Anyway, turns out it was doner kebab meat in a bun
Kebab-o-muffin.
I ask you.
