Default Great start to the day

Nnnnnggg.

I walked out to the car this morning, and noticed something shiny on the rear offside tyre. On closer inspection there was a phillips countersink head M4 screw buried in my Goodyear Eagle F1, I looked at the offside and sure enough there was a nail buried in it. I don't remember drivng through MFI aisle 13, or through Nick Knowles front garden, but I have obviously picked them up from somewhere. So it was off to the tryre shop first thing, and he said they were unrepairable. So I have to fork out £81.66 per wheel for new tyres - And they both had about 6mm of tread on them.

I can't beleive anyone woukld be so stupid as to mess with my car. Everyone knows I would hunt them down and destroy them, along with their families if they did.

Besides the car is in a private parking area that is gated along with CCTV, no one goes in there that isn't supposed to. Can only assume I have driven right over it and been unlucky.

It's just so annoying when it happens. Especially during "pay for school uniform" month.

"phillips countersink head M4 screw"

You appear to know a lot about screws!

I had a blowout the other day, instant deflation. Jacked up the car and had a look - there was a bleeding spanner in my tyre! Half of it sticking out, an inch or so. God knows how that happened.

Before that I got a slow one at the front and shortly afterwards my rear scooter tyre blew out.

So I've had my three now.. you've still got one to go.

It was probably a 2 inch reinforced titanium flathead, serial number MZ7-98GF32, although I'm no expert.

Well I will sympathise with you, that is really annoying and I would be furious over that bit of bad luck.

I would be tempted to use those repair jobbers where you plug the hole with a rubber strip which is also glued in. We used to use those on the racing slicks when you got a puncture in the paddock. Never had any problems with those at very high speeds! You can get them with a mushroom head on them which is even more secure.
