Default A good reason to take TV back.

I bought a Samsung TV back in December and I want to take it back, although there is nothing wrong with it. Basically I have seen something far better for the money.

What reasonable excuse could I use to assure Tesco provide a refund, or swap it ?

Doubt you'll have much luck after 6 months. You could try fault but they'll send you to the manufacturer.

If your that unhappy with it either sell and buy the one you want or (if its a wall mount panel TELL YOUR INSURER FIRST) drop it and claim on insurance.

My missus works for a furniture company.

A customer phoned up asking if they could return a sofabad they've owned for 8 months.

Reason being:

They managed to shut (and kill) their dog in the mechanism when they folded it away to store it.

They claimed that the furniture company should put a warning up on the sofa telling people to check for animals / children before they close the bed down. . . .

Made me smile

Maybe your missus should have responded "Well, maybe we should have not sold the sofa to STUPID people".

Thats the trouble with technology,6 months is an eternity, so you will obviously see something better, I know alot of people have been waiting on lcd's and plasmas coming down in price and you just have to take the plunge sooner or later. Like said before i think your onto plums trying to take it back ,so its buy the other one or an insurance job. I personally would just be content with it just now and see whats on offer around or after christmas ,when you will get even more for your money again in the sales.

I got a new tv after 6 months although I did have a genuine fault.

Main problem was that the engineer could not replicate the problem when the tv was in his workshop - in the end curry's took the tv back with either a) a full refund or b) that amount off a replacement.

So if you can get an engineer to write the tv off you should get your money back.

What a ******* joke, you bought the TV, you were happy with it, just because youve seen something else you fancy doesnt mean you can return it. You sound like a friggin con artist. Either that or you bought a pile of junk in the first place, I mean who buys a decent LCD or Plasma from Tesco's anyway. What is it they say about a fool and their money?

you could break in to one of your neighbours houses and nick theirs, or ramraid currys, prob get the same spell inside as the insurance fraud suggestions. or get a grip and realise that if you want a newer model you need sell the one you got and put your hand in your pocket and stump up the cash

Were you conned into buying the telly?

No, thought not.

How about you grow up and do a bit more research next time you buy something expensive.
