Diana Accident on Ch 4 last night
Anyone watch it? Thought it was quite interesting to see some previously never seen before photos. Still can't believe a (supposedly) bullet proof S-Class folded like that at 65
Couple of papers say this morning that Channel 4 is now expecting to be investigated by Ofcom following complaints from the two princes, but I don't think there was anything worth complaining about.

I couldn't see what all the fuss was about. You didn't see anything that was gruesome or anything!
If 2 "normal" people complained to Ofcom, would they have an enquiry or any sort of response?

I thought that it was pretty boring, just cannot understand what all of the fuss was about. It's understandable that the 2 Princes didn't want their mother to be shown but they've got to realise that there'll always be interest in her and the accident just because of who she was.
With regard to the crash safety of the Merc, the damage sustained wasn't at all surprising given what it hit. You've also got to remember that cars are designed to crush in the right areas in order to absorb the energy of the impact.

no - compared to seeing people leap from the twin towers, JFK get his head blown open, soldiers in Iraq hung from the bridge or the black hawk guys in Somalia dragged through the streets, the soldiers in Ireland that drove into the funeral, etc, etc ................it showed sod all.

A car travelling at 65mph ish hits a solid concrete support... What do you expect it to do ? T-cut out ?
Why would armour plating make the car in anyway crash resistant. If anything it would make it WORSE as it would defeat the object of any crumple zones and other safety features.
Watch a few NCAP tests, they are done at approx 30mph and totally destroy cars, 10mph more is enough to devastate the car, let alone a further 25mph.
As for the case, its old now, and dont really think it needed digging up, but if there is a viewing audiance..... I mean people watch that BB BS dont they
