The reason cars have got heavier is mainly the raft of *safety* items that hev to be designed in coiurtesy of our politicians - now they want to reduce the weight ... hmmm .....
NEVER EVER EVER trust a politician - they're out for their own power trip and make as much money for themselves as possible. Period!
