Elderly Drivers

Comedienne Jo Brand rails against elderly drivers, discussing how she believes people over the age of 70 should be forced to retake their tests to prevent needless accidents. She looks at the cases of a driver in his mid-70s who crashed through a playground and drove straight into the school wall - luckily while the children were inside - and a man left paralysed from the waist down following a collision with an OAP on a dual carriageway
(subtitles) (widescreen)

Runtime: 1 hour

The hearing at Richmond Town Hall heard Mr Elkins had a history of heart disease, but a post-mortem examination concluded he did not suffer a heart attack.

What has her being a fat lezzer got to do with her having a driving license

I love old folks, but that programme really did make me think. As you said, we all get old, nowt we can do about that, but I hope to have a chauffer by then

Well, if the fat lezzer thinks it's ok to be ageist, then surely it must be ok to be homophobic too. (what's good for the goose is good for the gander and all that)

and we all know that fatty lezzers can't drive...

I had an old woman drive her metro into my front room one day.

Mind you the bay window needed sorting and her insurance paid for it .

Her problem wasn't that she was old - she was female

Slarti has a valid point. Why is it OK to to be ageist but not homophobic or fatophobic?
The programme served only 2 purposes, 1) to watch in awe at the accidents that had taken placed 2) To show that sterotyping can be flawed.

PS; I think Jo Brand is very smelly

Infact I'm normal personist - apparently.

Driving home last night I saw a woman pushing a wheelchair across the road and had got to a traffic Island. I Slowed to let them cross the road.

The wife said - you wouldn't have done that if there wasn't a wheelchair !

So there - I'm a normal personist !
