Default Rechargeable batteries and charger

Can anyone recommend a charger and decent rechargeable battery combo? We get through what feels like a gabillion AA batteries a day in various kids toys, remote controls etc.

There's loads on eBay but I don't want to get stuck with batteries that need recharging every 20 mins.

Thumbs up

i use the uniross photo battery charger, it charges uniross aa batteries and the square 9v batteries, just make sure you get the one with a charging light as well as a fully charged light, and a switch to switch between Ni-Cd and Ni-MH.

Make sure u get the highest MaH rating possible AA's now go up to 2700 MaH, just make sure the charger you get is man enough to charge them in a repectable amount of time.

The cheaper chargers can take up to 24 hours to charge such high capacity batterys. I've got the Energizer one with 2500 Mah batterys and they last a whole lot longer on a charge then the Uniross one i had before.

I'm sort of in the trade so if ya want one cheap with free P&P drop me a PM
