Default Child friendly holidays?

Need to book my summer hols for June. Its the first time on hols with the baby (6months) and hence not too clued up about this kind of holiday. Can anyone recommend a hotel/resort on the following requirements

1) No longer than 4 hours flight

2) Must be on the beach. Beach must be sandy not pebbly/rocky so I can play around with the baba

3) Temp must be circa 25 degs

4) Chav/lager lout free.

5) Child friendly ie with good baby sitting (just in case we want to have a nice dinner or something)

6) Good quality ie 4/5 star.(wife has put her foot down )

Many thanks

Nothing within 4 hours. I'd go for Malaysia or Thailand. They adore kids, no chavs, and their 4/5 star resorts are easily the best in the world.

Flying with a 6 month year old is also pretty easy.

Kiwi, I love the far east (have done Thailand, Malaysia,Borneo,Cambodia) have been many times. Would love to go again but the journey does me in even when there is no baby involved, don't fancy it with a 6 month old.

I've heard MW from a few friends. Do you recommend any particular resort?

Having done the baby thing I'd chose a nice place in France...

Drive down to the Tuscan coast or one of the Italian lakes? Our lad is 2 1/2 and we haven't flown with him yet, as it is so convenient to pack what we need in the Forester (with roofbox) and just head South. Florence is only 1300km and we do get to visit our Swiss friends on the way down, so that's another reason for us to drive.
1st time was an inland Tuscan villa with pool and last year a 4 star resort on lake Garda. No chavs down there either of course.

The Italians really adore kids too, so even if you wanted to take your baby to a restaurant with you for an early dinner, they'd do everything possible to accomodate you

Maybe you could even route via Germany and let your new beastie stretch its legs a little!

Portugal is nice, avoid the East end of the Algarve and head further west, or even on the West coast itself.
