Default Help with changing TV price.

Guys

Bought a new TV on Boxing Day from Curry's (local store) for £1499. Saw on their web site yesterday it had gone down to £1279 and evidentially that is now the store price too. Bearing in mind I haven't taken delivery yet (being delivered on Saturday) do I have a case for a refund of the balance?? Could I cancel the order now for a refund and then just place the order again?

Any advice appreciated..

Dave

Cancel the order and get a full refund.
Go on-line and buy the same TV through "Reserve and Collect".

My mates TV packed up a few days before Christmas, went to Curry's and saw a LCD TV at £1200, went on-line and bought it for £900. Went back to the store to collect it.
Probably the same actual TV, just £300 cheaper.

Yes. DSG stores have a price match policy that applies to their own prices within seven days, as well as others. Considering that the distance selling regulations allow for a return and refund (which DSG used to pay for too); cancelling now wont be a problem.

I've got a 42" at the mo and it's started to look a bit small Seriously, I wanted to move to HD and also wanted to wall mount so thought may as well go a bit larger...Also need a lot of connections which this one has. 2 x DVD, Wii, X-Box, 360 etc...Also has 2 x HDMi.

From what I've read (don't quote me) Plasma's are better if you want a larger screen (above 37") I've had my 42" Plasma for 2.5 years and very pleased with it, will look nice in the bedroom if I decide to keep it.

Yeah i was told that up to 40" LCD anything over that go for plasma, depends who you talk to and what they have got!!! but the days of plasma's only lasting for so long has nothing to do with it now and will last as long as CRT.

If your TV position is anywhere near a window that reflects onto it, go for LCD. The reflections from a Plasma are terrible.

Don't believe me; then go into Curry's or Comet tomorrow and look at any Plasma - all you will see is the shop lights reflecting on the screen. Then look at any LCD - no reflections.
