I start packing tomorrow
Yep the day is almost here when I have to pack up all my things in my room and my PC bits ready for the house move. I am not looking forward to it...in fact I am dreading it to be honest. We are only moving about 30-40 min drive away to Turvey, Beds. So its not that far, but I have lived in this house since I was 2 and a half and I am now 22. Thats a long time.
Any advice to give me to get me through it?

don't forget my dad
And whats wrong with living with my parents at 22. There is NO age for parents to kick you out at. If they kick you out at an early age, I think your parents are trying to tell you something

A) Didn't cost me a penny. They didn't need rent, so never got any
B) All washing and Ironing done for me
C) Most meals made for me
D) More money to spend on me. That's what being young is all about.
E) Only wanted to move out when I could afford to buy something decent, and not just anything.
My advise is, stay living with your parents for as long as you can stand it. Once you move out, you miss having loads of spare cash to p1ss up the wall, or spend on your car.

It's horses for courses I guess. At the age of 18 I went away to Uni and I never, ever, had any intention of living back home again. As soon as I finished Uni I moved 150 miles away - and that was in 1988.
I have a wonderful family - but I was determined to make it on my own and on my terms (cliche I know - but true!). I now have a jolly nice life and wouldn't do anything differently if I had my time again.
I've been an independant bugger from a very early age!
Good luck with the move - it's the start of a whole new life - and I'm sure you're going to do just fine!

Some people I know couldn't leave home becuase it would cost them a bomb.Plus they would probably end up in a **** council flat.

There were advantage to living withe the 'rent(s)....
The magic washing basket (really need to sort one these out for myself )
Cooking, food, shopping
Only one room to keep tidy (if your unlucky )
No rates, gas, leccy or water bills
No mortgage <---- thats a biggy
Yes, you must be sad for not breaking free of this hardship
I was on to a good thing back then

Tbh, that's a quality I really respect in a man, someone who can make his own way in the world (and by no stretch does that mean a man who has to provide for me financially!) When talking with my female friends, they all say the same thing, they try to avoid men still living at home wherever possible - too much hard work teaching them to be grown ups!
