Mobile phones for people with vision impairment??
My mum is slowly going blind and has started to struggle when using her mobile phone, mainly when reading or writing text messages, or navigating menus. I want to buy her a phone with a big, bright screen and the option to display larger than normal text. Also being able to change the colour sheme (eg. black text on white background) and adjust contrast would really help her. Larger keys would help too.
Does anyone know of any current mobile phones that would be easier for her to use? Any help would really be appreciated as I have drawn a blank so far with my online research.

Thanks mate, yes have looked at RNIB site but it's hard to find model-specific up-to-date info, especially regarding extra large text and menus.
Voice-tags definitely will help when dialling, but not when texting/reading texts.

Thanks guys for the suggestions, I appreciate it
Because my mum still has a fair amount of usable vision I wanted to get her a 'normal' mobile phone but one that can show a larger typeface and menus.
It is a very delicate issue but until she cannot use visual devices at all we are trying to keep her positive by not treating her as if she is blind already, so a phone that reads out aloud to her would be a step too far at the moment.
Her condition (AMD) is worsening but at a very slow rate.
