Website Plagarism
Can anyone help or point me in the right direction
I run a small non profit making business which advertises using a amongst other things using a website.
We have a mission statement which has been stolen word for word by another organisation which is involved (locally) in the same type of business as I am.
Now I'm not worried about losing business because we have running our operation for many years and have a huge client base and at the moment can't take any more on anyway. I'm not even bothered about them setting up a similar operation
But I am seriously pi$$ed off that these people (who were once clients) have stolen our mission statement especially as they pertain to be "professionals" but have no qualifications etc and more worrying no 3rd party liability insurance (although legally they need neither)
I am aware that there is no copyright on our mission statement but have been told that do have ownership of the "concept"
I have spoken to the people concerned and asked them to change their website but up to now zilch
Anyone got any ideas?

Exactly, if they dont take it down, stop playing nicely.
If it comes to it, pm me as i can put you in touch with someone who could have the site down within a day.

Just a call to them politely asking them to remove the statement may be enough. Say if it's not removed then you'll be seeking legal advice. Sometimes just the threat of this will be enough to get things sorted. At the moment don't make things any more complicated or nasty, it'll be pointless.

Intellectual property rights, i.e. the creating mind owns the statement if he or she can prove they actually 'created' the mission statement.
