I am going to America in a couple of weeks, I think one of those will be making its way back in my luggage.

I flew my boat once DCI, off the top of a wave. Didn't think much of the landing though!

Bob

I am off next week on Wednesday and depending on the size of the package I can get you one ... $69.99 + TAX from Walmart (about £44ish).

Steve - Problem with the Walmart one at that price - it doesn't come with the battery!!!!

Battery is sold separately, at $29.99 I think....

It makes it a $100 toy - whether at Walmart (70+30), BestBuy (100 package) or anywhere else by the look of it.... in the US anyway!

Shades

PS Will still bring one back when over there in a month's time. Stuck in Jo'burg at the moment, with nothing but fine weather (well, OK, fine food and some fine sights as well) for company! F360 Spyder outside the hotel this evening - looking v.nice indeed!

Mmmm.

So $110ish (about £60). Less appealing, but still okay.

Bob: I'll let you know how big it is and the exact price next week.

Flying rc boat? Havent they been out for aggggeees?

We almost imported a shed load of these to sell on ebay.

Apparantely they are REALLY hard to fly and more people crash them on take off than actually fly them, lol.

Just a word of warning- the storm launcher box is pretty big, so carrying more than one won't be too easy.

Bladerunner 2, £60 / $60, once you've arsed about with Import duty and tax, if they catch you, and waited for it (when you're as impatient as me), I'd buy it in the UK- maybe thats just me though

Originally designed by Michael Connaly, the hydrofoam is extremely good fun but not for the beginner. There are basically two types of polystyrene material used in the construction, EPP and Depron. Epp is heavier but more forgiving in minor crashes. For the more experienced 3D pilot, "Depron" would be the construction of choice as it's all about the power to weight ratio
The Storm Launcher however is a very cheap and nasty version that I personally wouldn't even pay a fiver for. Okay as a toy though.
Last year when I was looking around for a hydrofoam, I did a lot of research and found the best version by far, is the "Miss Hanger one", and can be bought in kit form. There are many other versions that can be bought fully assembled and advertised as (RTF) ready to fly, but be aware they will still need to be properly balanced and set up, or you will most definitely crash it.
