Free Fireworks display !
Trouble is, it was at 1 am this morning, one of those huge multi shot things set off, not far from where we live and then followed up every few minutes with a single large bang for about an hour.
What kind of ignorant, inconsiderate, selfish **** would decide 1 am is a good time to light fireworks and wake a whole town up ?
Otherwise its been pretty quiet on the fireworks front.
I would love to know who had done it as I would make a point of exacting some kind of revenge, maybe even enlisting Astraboy for some suggestions.

I've jut bought some fireworks for the garden for my 2yr old son and my 2yr old nephew (one's that don't bang ) and there was a big sign in the shop saying that last year, the law was changed it is now ILLEGAL to use fireworks after 11pm.
I'm also a firm believe that the minimum age to buy them should be increased........to at least 30

So when the kids light the firework, lob it in someone's garden and run off, how long will the police take to arrive to arrest them?

Years ago bonfire night used to be November the 5th, it seems now a few weeks either side is OK.
Surely selling them a week before is ample time for people to buy them.
Cheers

It is fairly pointless as you say but it may persuade a few that its really not acceptable when people are in bed to light explosives.
Makes me wonder, my grandparent are in their eighties, what does that do to someone of that age as it made me wake with quite a start.
Dont get me wrong, come bonfore night there will be forty or so people in my garden and a couple of hundred quids worth of fireworks, I love bonfire night but arseholes that set them off at 1 am will get bonfire night legislated out of existence, do them at the right time and even the most misreable kill joy cant really object to a few hours one or two nights a year.

Still - I enjoy fireworks night as you do and have no issue with people using them responsibly. It's the thought of yet another means by which the less-desirable of our species can terrorise and intimidate the more frail among us.
Anyway - hope your display goes with a bang mate!
