I watched a documenatary recently that said it has yet to be proven to provide any medical benefits whatsoever.
If you watch that new Danacol advert with the heart on wheels, it says that Omega 3 may help maintain a healthy heart whereas plant sterols are 'proven' to lower blood pressure...There's the difference.
Incredibly clever marketing, but at the end of the day, Mrs Squares , it certainly won't do anyone any harm

My wife works for The Red Cross, they deal with head injured children and have access to loads of clinical reports and store data for use as to best treatments for different types of requirements. Will send you pm with contact details, may not relate but cant hurt.

Unless she's at public school, then a school dinner is only one meal out of three so there's plenty of opportunity to feed her properly and fish isn't the only source of Omega 3.

Hi Sara,
My boys were both taking omega 3 last school year. I dont know if it was coincidence or not but my eldest really calmed down, and his behaviour improved at school (he has always been fidgity, doesnt hold his attention for long etc) and so ended up having a great year and got fantastic marks for his SATs. My youngest however, i wouldnt say there was any change at all, but as some others have said, it cant hurt to try. The boys hated the capsules, so I would avoid them, but they liked the syrup and if you have a shop called 'home Bargains' near you they do it over a £ cheaper than Boots, Asda etc.
