Sickness can be any time of day - it is usually worse in the morning.

It is usually different to ordinary sickness as the vomiting is very sudden. Ok and then hughie!

Has she not had a pregnancy test yet? They work after four days of the deed

first pregnancy test taken 5 days after the deed was a firm negative. Gonna get another one done. Nurse said that the early pregnancy test are very accurate and the result was a firm no, but thenb again you never know.

There's a stomach bug going around you know!

You really are paranoid about this pregnancy, I assume another test to be done tomorrow then?

When my wife took a test nearly eight months* ago and it was negative.....

... our baby is due in about month!!

High chances of false negatives early on, but rest assured if it comes up positive get ready for sleepless nights!

* - Retaking the test a week later showed a positive.

Well given the average menstrual cycle - or blob as you so sweetly put it - is 28 days, of which between four and seven are actually menstruating then it is very unlikely to be 'nearly a month'.

However we are both wrong (right number - wrong end of the cycle), it can be from four days BEFORE menstruation is expected and so that is typically ten days after ovulation. Where there is great variation in the length of the menstrual cycle it is typically in the follicular phase and so ovulation is pretty contantly 14 days before menstruation.

Or you can go to the docs and find out a week after the deed

As for morning sickness, it affected me all day every day even through the night for the first 6 months ... as Rannoch said it affects everyone differently some don't suffer at all and others suffer constantly.

I was wording it with the majority of the audeince in mind

I said it can be nearly a month, which is correct - 4 day period, 33 day cycle, you do the maths

You may be wrong, Im not. There is a very small possibility that enough hormone can be traced within a few days of fertilisation (which can be a few days after intercourse) but manufacturers never recommend doing a test so early. The universal earliest recommended date is the day your next period is due.

Feel free to challenge I have a midwife in the next room

Still do a test to make sure, some women still bleed from time to time during pregnancy

And sickness for me was all the time when I had my first
