No doubt if the woman with the sign called the police about a burglary, she would simply be given a crime number for the insurance rather than actually have some officers call round. Amazing that police time was devoted to something so trivial.

If someone finds that sign "distressing, offensive and inappropriate", I don't know how they cope with everyday life. Must live in a bizarre bubble lined with cotton wool.

To be honest I would be embarrassed to put that on my house and I think she should take it down, PC is one thing but single out and offend people on purpose anyway, why are the Jehova's Witnesses to be singled out, because they dont fight back, I dont think the daft old bat would put any one these up.

And what right do the Jehovah's witnesses have calling round peoples door's pushing the believes on other people. That itself is offensive to people.

The police should just ignore complaints like this, and get on with catching criminals, rather than picking on a 77 year old woman.

No wonder this country is turning into a sh1thole, where the criminal has more rights that his victims, and all the police can do is turn normal law abiding citizens into criminals ie, speeding, flying St Georges flags in our own country, picking on old women for putting up signs or clipping a young vandal around the ear for harassing her.

on another note i think whoever said you can't fly a st georges flag should be done for treason, which still holds a death penalty if found guilty, go back a few years, well 100 or so and thats how it was.

Hi mate. Don't get me wrong, my comments were not a dig at the rank and file officers following orders, but the people further up the chain who create these policies. The same people who cause a copper to spend their whole shift filling in the paperwork for a poxy shoplifter to ensure that they protect the criminals rights.
