Expedia prices jumping around
Trying to book flights with hotel stay for a break in early August.
The prices have jumped around all over the place, going up by over £100 then back down again over the course of just a few days.
The prices seemed to drop on Friday & over the weekend then rise again in the week. Is this normal ? Any tips on when to book through Expedia ?
Cheers

Most booking system are completely dynamic these days and the prices varies as people hold and release bookings etc.
eg: a flight will have a number of seats at a low fare, once used up bookings will then start to go to the next more expensive fare.

I reckon that airlines monitor who's checking what fare, and then if it isn't booked there and then, they ramp the price up. Could be completely wrong, but that's how it feels! If you want to book a flight, do it the first time you check the price, that's my advice!!

Probably right, though on Friday just gone the prices dipped £50 then today I look and they have shot up, its as though they figure Friday is a "bad" day for people booking, so lower the prices to attract bookings, then hike em up mid week when I guess most bookings take place?
Not sure if I should wait until Friday or bite the bullett & book now.
