Mad Dogs and.......
We've got two fairly hairy dogs - Cavaliers. They have a basket inside the house in a relatively cool spot. Outside I have put up a canopy giving a cool shady spot near the trees.
So what do they do? Go and lie down on the patio on the hot flagstones in the full sun........ So then they get up panting as if it's all my fault
Is your mutt as daft? dl

My dog is quite good, he sits in the shade most of the time and moves around the garden as the sun moves.
Yours sound as tho they have learning difficulties, although mine walks into doors and stuff he isn't daft when it comes to this sort of thing. And he loves playing with the hose in this sort of weather!!!

Mine sunbathes but after 15minutes hes clever enough to know hes getting too hot and goes inside for a sleep on the kitchen tiles which are nice and cool. Sunday I was sunbathing drinking plenty of lager and he wanted to sit with me, after 15 mins he went inside and walked to the dining room door (its glass) so he could still sit near and see me nice and cool inside there, half hour later he came back out with me before buggering off inside again.
