Saving school kids from fat.Chip ban
I ate chips ,pies, horses ,penguins, cakes, mars bars, muffins,in fact everything at school, after school,in the middle of the night, bacon sarnies, fried spam sandwiches
Was I a porker? No! We had grass in those days and did tons of sport. No playstations either.
Banning kids from chips won't do it.They need exercise.Lots of it.
Bleedin schooling.Just get worse. Not just churning out thickos but porky thickos

More New Labour bollox I'm afraid.
It's all very well to issue the headline grabbing announcment that:
Junk food to be banned in school meals
"From September, caterers will have to ensure "high-quality meat, poultry or oily fish is available on a regular basis", the Department for Education and Skills said. Pupils will get "a minimum" of two portions of fruit and vegetables with every meal, while deep-fried food will be restricted to two portions per week."
What of course they fail to mention is that there will be no new money to provide all this wonderful gourmet food. No new money to re-train staff and no new money for the far longer hours they will all have to work preparing such foods. The budget currently runs to 12p per child per meal.
So, how are they going to magic this one?? The answer, as ever, is they can't. It's pure New Labour fiction as always.
