good place to get a credit card from
i know many replies will consist of dont do it
but im looking to move out next year and deffinatly DO NOT want to rent
there fore meaning i need to build up my credit rating
anyone got any good places they got one from easy
im 18yrs old am on about 14k a year....
been turned down by tesco
any other ideas?

If you are trying to establish credit, try a small limit card from your bank. As far as I am aware, the best way to establish credit is to pay nearly all of the balance each month, not quite clear it.
Capital One advertise all over the place with low limit, high interest cards for people with low credit scores. I would advise you do not spend more than you can repay quickly on a card like this though!

Find a card that you think you'll almost certainly get accepted for - dont keep on applying for cards and getting turned down cos this shows on your credit rating, and wont do it any favours!

i was told by my bank manger in lloyds that i should pay the full amount off each month.
Also things like moblie phone contracts are good for your credit scoring.
