Am not trying to encourage you or anything, because credit cards are the root of all evil..

The link below might help - shows CC companies and interest rates etc..

If you are trying to establish credit, try a small limit card from your bank. As far as I am aware, the best way to establish credit is to pay nearly all of the balance each month, not quite clear it.

Capital One advertise all over the place with low limit, high interest cards for people with low credit scores. I would advise you do not spend more than you can repay quickly on a card like this though!

i Get my credit cards off old people, they put up less of a fight and tend to just hand their wallets over

I signed up for one and they sent it with a limit of £250 lol. When I called up to ask about increasing they said only after 9 months. I cancelled it there and then and they didnt bat an eyelid.

Simon.

Find a card that you think you'll almost certainly get accepted for - dont keep on applying for cards and getting turned down cos this shows on your credit rating, and wont do it any favours!

As has been suggested already, go for the basic Capital One card (the classic). If you get turned down for this one, then you must be credit blacklisted!

i was told by my bank manger in lloyds that i should pay the full amount off each month.

Also things like moblie phone contracts are good for your credit scoring.
