Why do bands say "one, two... one two..." at soundcheck?
When I was playing regularly there was none of that gubbins; if you checked your mic. you sang a song, unaccompanied, and that gave the engineer a fighting chance! I think most bands these days don't have any bottle or talent.

But seriously, the "t" sound in "two" gives a spike in levels so if the PA is set so it just hits the desired level on this sound, it shouldn't clip the amps.
