Tom tom 5 mobile problem
Hi,
I recently bought a second hand PDA as it came with all the Sat nav kit.
Just got around to using it and every time it switch if off it 'forgets' all my settings.
Nearly ending up in Oxford when I hit the navigate to home function.
Has any else had this problem?
Currently its a SPV M1000 and err... TT5 mobile thats all I know TBH.
ANY help would be useful as i've bought a duffer I thinks
Cheers in advance.
Merry Xmas all.

Hmm, thats odd, I use tomtom mobile 5 on my phone and it always remembers my settings.
Is tomtom5 installed on the pda's internal memory or on the memory card? It shouldnt make a difference, but maybe try moving the application to the pda's memory card and then see if it saves your settings.

I think you might have a copied version of TomTom 5. There are some fixes available on FleeBay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TOM-TOM-5-3-Na...QQcmdZViewItem (not sure if it works though).
Any more question PM me m8 as i have just got my TomTom 5 for mobile working and it was very cheap

Slighty off topic, but anyone know why I cant get TT5 Mobile to find an address using a full postcode?
It accepts the first part, but then I have to enter the street name as it wont accept the second part??

Dodgy copies of TomTom 5 do cause the software to revert back to its original home address if it hasnt been cracked correctly.

Losing settings is due to the file "great_britain.cfg" being read only. Copy again from the CD, onto hard disk, then to the correct directory with the GB maps. Copying direct to the PDA will copy as read only again!
