Anyone been lasered?

Anyone been lasered?
I've been going through a bit of a transitional period recently. Split up with my girlfriend 6 months back and have been moping around ever since.
Now I'm finally picking myself back up off the floor and have put myself back on the shelf! I'm in the process of losing the stone I put on in the last 6 months mainly through beer and I'm cleaning up my act, new clothes, new job, new image!
Anyway, I decided to get rid of the ridiculous tufts of black hair I have developed on my back. They are a different colour to the hair I have everywhere else and look ridiculous so I got them lasered last week!
It takes several sessions once every 6 weeks or so and I've only had the first one but it was a piece of pi55! It was exactly like they said like eleastic bands twanging against your skin, no worse than that!
Anyway, I was so chuffed at how easily it went I decided to get the same patchy hair frazzled off my chest too! Had the first session yesterday...
Jeeeezus that hurt!!! Nothing like the back at all, it must be more sensitive! She was about 1/3 of the way through I had to just grit my teeth or I'd end up with even patchier chest fluff lol!
I know I'm a tart, but my back and chest hair just looks ridiculous and I'm glad its going. The woman said she had done 3 other blokes that same day so I know I'm not alone. Anyone else want to own up?
Or am I barking mad considering I haven't even ever waxed or shaved it before this?

Thought this was going to be speding related....lol
I'm a gorilla and happy with that, laser or waxing my back arms, shoulders, chest, stomach would be:
1. Expensive
2. Painful
3. Self indulgent
4. Effeminate

Many men are doing it these days, NI. Many women like it a lot on men too. Is this permanent or something you have to have repeated every few months?

It wouldn't be so bad if I had "manly" chest hair but its not its in patches around my nipples and inbetween and random balck hairs everywhere. The hair on the rest of me is quite fair so it looks stupid.
When I met my girlfriend a few years back I didn't have most of this hair and haven't been to bothered, but now I'm on the pull again I want to look good!

Because I'm still young and probably still producing new hair they said I might need "touch ups" once or twice a year for a while.

More details required. What kind of laser was it? How many treatments? Did the hair shed after the treatments? Did the hair stay away for a while and then come back or did it grow straight back?
