I'm 'nesting'!
Kim and Aggie ain't got no dirt on me!
Been up since 3am this morning unable to sleep. Haven't stopped cleaning until now (only because I have taken a hot flush, going to get back to it after this short break ).
For the past few weeks I have been so exhausted to the point I cried (mostly due to being in false labour); now I am bursting with energy!
Driving the cat mad and clock watching so when my wonderful husband's alarm goes off I can take him sausage sandwiches in bed
Been thinking the whole time 'I wonder how long to go now' (Not due for another 5 1/2 weeks but due to false labour had steroid injections to mature baby's lungs 'just in case').
How long before labour did you/your other half start to nest/get the energy burst?

Pontificating
My better half was the same, the house was immaculate and I got many cups of tea in bed before going to work, so there are the upsides for us men, certainly no bursts of energy now, our 2 yr old daughter put an end to that!! but we wouldn't change it for the world
All the best with your delivery

Thanks Mr Munkii!
It is strange how it messes with our minds. Never once would I have dreamed of getting out of bed to clean!
Jamo, I sympathise. These practise pains (Braxton Hicks) can get quite sore! On the other hand, she may have a decent pain threshold and needn't worry too much; I am just a big wimp Good luck with the pregnancy, I hope mum and baby keep well (remember to pamper mum!)

Good Luck Claire, I was nesting from about 7½ months if it wasn't in the right place there was trouble
seems like only yesterday when in fact it was almost 3 years ago!

The last 6-9 weeks are the worst Claire! I also had the steroid injections for Rachel last year but she arrives bang on her due date not like the other 2!
I hated the sleepless nights and the "nesting" but the house did look better for it!
All the best

Sorry eclaire, I never had the nesting instinct with any of mine. When number 3 came along I was too knackered to clean. Youngest was 15 days late so you could have more cleaning days left than you think!

Cheers AJ and Mrs WRX.
Every pregnancy is different they say. He seems to think he will be a daddy by the weekend; I, on the otherhand, am a little more sceptical!
Ali, trust you to lower the tone

sausage sandwiches in bed
I can't help thinking that is such a poor choice of words
(As I harp back to the days when my mind was more innocent )

Me!!!!! I hate sausages (and by that I mean the product and not any nudge nudge wink wink references). Not too keen on porridge but out of the two, porridge wins. Now if you were talking bacon butties........
