Default Converting music files

I have file that was sent to me that i cant recognise what format it is !
What i do know is that realplayer wont paly it & windows media says that it has an extension

What i would like to do is convert it to mp3 or wma.
So any ideas on how to do it ??

Save the file on to the desktop and "right-click" and get the properties....

It was from a friend who was mixing it a bit
