Default Dead man was innocent.....

Police have now confirmed the man shot to death on the london tube had no connections to the london bombings!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4711021.stm

''A man shot dead by police hunting the bombers behind Thursday's London attacks was unconnected to the incidents, police have confirmed.
A Scotland Yard statement said the shooting was a "tragedy" which was regretted by the Metropolitan Police.

The man was shot dead after police followed him from a south London flat to Stockwell Tube station on Friday.

Two other men have been arrested and are being questioned after bombers targeted three Tube trains and a bus.

The statement read: "We believe we now know the identity of the man shot at Stockwell Underground station by police on Friday 22nd July 2005, although he is still subject to formal identification. ''

Now now, until the full story be known we cannot apportion blame solely on the shoulders of our boys in blue.

Innocent - ie not linked to the recent terror attacks on London, however running from the Police suggests he was guilty of at least some wrong doings.

One less scumbag/potential extremist off the streets anyway.

he was running away from the police he must have had something to hide. How long will it be before the 2 cops are suspended and end up on a manslaughter charge

He was probably just late for his train...

or.. if they were no-uniform police, he might have wondered why he was being followed.

if the police are armed surely they would warn the man to stop and that they were armed? ie "stop armed police" there for if he kept on running he's a fool if anything.

People keep saying 'oh he shouldn't have ran and he should've stopped', but some Asians DO NOT understand English. Oh and another thing....so what if he had a coat on? I know someone that wears a coat/jacket during hot days - cause he has a medical condition.

Well I am sorry if I speak out of turn, but if you live here learn the flamin' lingo! How convenient it is to say ''I don't speak English'' and how crap! You can claim benefits in around 27 languages now - did you know that? I bet other countries aren't so stupid.

So, by your reckoning he was a non english-speaking asian with a medical condition? Phooey!

Perhpas our police should learn ''stop, police'' in 27 languages also

Was he running from 3 white 'civilian' men whom he believed had targeted him for a revenge attack in relation to the bombings!

Who knows why he kept running???

The police men were in civilian clothing which doesn't help!

Maybe they were of the same ethnicity. After all the Met has had an etnic recruitment policy over the last few years.

At the end of the day one can only assume he was guilty of something due to the fact that he was running away. Maybe with a few more cases like this the arseholes that seem to run riot in this once great country would think twice about commiting the crimes that they do if they thought that they would be shot.

Errr, I didn't say the man that was shot had a medical condition, I was talking about a friend of mine; read my post again My point is that if he was under surveillance then why didn't ''take him out'' earlier? Maybe he thought (as Mitchy has just said) he was being targeted by civilians with guns, hence the reason he ran.

Now some plonker will come along and say that I'm connected to al-Qaeda or that I support everything they do

Do you speak fluent spanish when you go on holiday to spain? or fluent german when you pop over to germany?? probably not eh.

would you wear a coat in a foreign country that you found colder then you own, or shorts in a country you found hotter than your own?? probably.

would you hang around with three men with weapons running towards you, yelling something in a language you don't understand?? maybe? maybe not?

And yes maybe the police should learn the basic commands in different languages, police forces in other countries manage to learn languges that are different to their own.

I think you are connected to al-Qaeda myself.
