Dont really see the relevance of the ethnicity factor, perhaps i'm missing something?

We should take stock for a bit and see what facts will come out.

Comments like "glad he's dead" are incredibly stupid and childish, even is he was the terrorist ringleader I wouldn't be happy that he had been shot dead on a London Street.

I fully accept that the Police would have felt justified in doing what they had to do, thats why we must wait to see what they tell us.

Either way it is a result of whats been happening recently and those issues won't go away.

I have a very good mate in the Anti Terrorist Branch and this would be his worst nightmare. He probably knows the guys involved and I am pretty sure they would have done what they felt was right at the time.

i think this is going to be a long drawn out thread. personally i think that there was something suspect, i mean why run away. also doesnt help that he was in an internet cafe before hand which has been proved terrorists operate through these.

this whole country needs to wake up, we are too soft. we arrest and try to deport that guy with the hook who basically is well against Britain as a country. we even pay for him to be here!!!.

if someone is innocent then fair enough, but if not and they have committed all these attrocities i think they shouldnt have any rights.

moan over!

An internet cafe?

He was pursued as soon as he left the house, he got on a bus and left the bus by the station and that is when the police acted?

If he was such a threat, why did they let him get on a bus? And why did the policemen also get on the bus? They couldn't have been that concerned giving a bus was blown to bits a couple of weeks ago.

Where did he have time to stop off at an internet cafe?

Good point and im sure that reason will come out in court but i feel the prosecution will have a field day as surely the public were at a major risk by letting him get onto the bus?

Begging your pardon Chip, but would you mind clarifying/elaborating on your second paragraph please?

Perhaps, but maybe Chip's family don't make a habit of running when they see armed police officers instructing them to stop?

Its quite straight forward, he was running from armed police so had something to hide.

If more criminals were shot then maybe this country would improve.

how many rational normal people run when armed officers ask them to stop...

its like having a bag of flower and running into a public building foollowing chem attacks..

did the guy at downing street run??? was he shot???

prehaps its a lesson to all future chavs out there... when asked to stop by the bib... do it

So...Mart, you are saying..if you run from the cops in london , you will get shot......haha that does not even happen in America

The poilce in America who have it a lot worse than us resort to their guns when they see a weapon and only then will they still try to resolve the situation without shooting, but it seems we have gone that one step ahead!!

All i can say is look out becouse this is not the way ahead, we need to get the asain communities behined the police force and stand as one...but this will never happen when innocent men get blown away

In the Sun it read...1 down and 3 to go...haha what ****s they must feal!!

I had my doubts since day one.Police were emphasising to have shot a man who they were looking for yunks in connection with terrorism etc.But I could feel it was a put on.Great isnt it? story has changed now.Watch for it to change again! If there is a real impartial intelligence in this country,I bet the reality will be left uncovered and the reasons of how this kind of bombing etc can even take place after so much of security will never come into light.
Politicians and authorities working hand in hand and who breeds/gives room to terrorism is......................????? no comments.
The system sucks!

I think thats harsh mart as at the end of the day the guy was as innocent as you or me.

How would you feel if the police accidentaly killed a member of your family? You wouldn't say ''oh well they done it for the best interests of the public''.

You would be livid and very angry i would imagine.

Someone is feeling like that tonight over the death of a loved 1.

The police have said they deeply regretted the incident and they were sorry to those who were affected.

56 people died in london when there was no reason to

How many thousands died in iraq for weapsons which were never there!

What do u think makes a person turn in to a s/bomber...maybe when his family has been blown up by american/british army??...when his whole life has been flipped over due to one trigger happy rambo
Both sides have lost family / people who they love ...,,,,,yet its still ok to shoot 1 lad who had **** all to do with it!!

It hurts more when its in your own country and that thursday i fealt pain too, families who lost mothers/fathers/brothers or sisters...its all pain but putting on the john wayne attertude is not going to sort things

And the whole shut the **** up thing........that is the way, done the crime and be quite about it!!

Kept my powder dry throughout this whole tirade on various posts but feel i must step in on a few points.

Nobody knows the whole truth about what happened yesterday and until we do i think its unfair to make comment on specific events. What i do see happening straight away is people who were a bit unsure on where they stood in relation to recent events (ie the anti police people on here) rubbing their hands in glee at the points they can score here. Can we remember one thing, people died 2 weeks ago, VERY nearly died two days ago (mother and baby included) and we still have at least 3 if not possibly 4 men out there who were ready to die to kill innocent Londoners and tourists.

So please, shut up and let the police get on with their jobs and take these people off the streets. If anybody knows anything about what i do for a living you will know i have a bit more understanding about procedure and so called rules of engagement for police officers with firearms. I'M not jumping up shouting he was innocent so can i suggest we all keep quiet and find these 3 nutters before we start looking for somwone to blame?

Fact is a male was shot by officers yesterday, we do not know his innocence or guilt but we do not go about shooting people without intelligence to help us make a decision.

would you hang around with three men with weapons running towards you, yelling something in a language you don't understand?? maybe? maybe not?
I didn't read anything beyond that comment in this thread, but that is a very good point. BUT..if the scenario played out was like that, and he was accosted by plain clothes, he was a fool to run. It just doesnt happen does it?....You dont walk down the steet to find 3 guys pointing shooters at you, its movie stuff.
