Freeview
Having stopped my SKY subs a while back and never having had the urge to go back to them we have sat with the freebies from sky for some time now.
I see E4 has come to freeview and you seem to get more with Freeview than with the basic SKY so I went out and bought a box today (one with a HDD recorder)
I set it up tuned it and it has only picked up a handful of channels. I have only had a auto search so far but only these 6 or so channels appear every time.
This really is quite embarrassing as I used to install B&O kit for a living and came across -and solved- these problems all the time but it would appear that either my brain is in weekend mode or I have just lost the ability to retain knowledge due to old age.
I have had a quick shifty at digital spy and av forums but didn't come across anything conclusive.
Any ideas out there ?

Could well be an aerial issue. We had the same sort of issues until we got an external roof aerial. Cost about £100, that included the chap tuning in all the TV's and boxes in the house. Well worth the money.
Best place to find a good installer is to ask around good TV shops for their recommendations.
