Parking at Heathrow
How much is it for a week?
Is it as dodgy as people say? Will only be leaving a passat tdi, but still, would be nice to come home to it....

Used Purple Parking a few times, and service was very good. Good security and reasonable price as I remember.

7 days was about £150 the other week! Pink Elephant. Got mugged for 300 odd for two weeks in January in the CAA Long Term!! Taxi's make more sence, but I can't stand talking to people when I get off a long flight.

Go to www.baa.com, pay in advance and it's from £58 a week.
The carparks are perfectly safe,, probably some of the safest in the country.

Security seems very high. Purple Parking's setup is really good - the highest security I've ever seen at a car park. The only downside is it is about 15 mins by transfer coach to the main terminals. Their prices are pretty good too. I paid about £32 for 3 days last week.
My car is currently in a long stay car park at Heathrow as we speak - I hope it is still there tomorrow night!

just thinking outside the loop - have u thought about car hire? Hire local for the day from someone like Hertz, drop the car off at the airport and reverse the process on the way home.
there's a location service charge at Heathrow, so I'm not sure about the economics

Ive used www.holidayextras.co.uk quite a few times and paid around £70 for a week which includes the night before in a hotel as well. Ive had 5* hotels at this price as well.
Always taken the Sti and never had any probs. Returned to find a brand new Ferrarri 360 next to me last time. Hotel;s all have CCTV and secure entry/exit.

Get ones off site where you hand the keys in. Bizarre but true - they then take resposnibility for your car unlike NCP corporate muggers. Maybe I would still have my Scoob if it wasnt for NCP Birmingham airport and their 'dont give a f...' about security approach.
AVOID NCP at airports at all costs.

I parked at Airparks for three weeks in Feb/March. It was about £110 (that's a "book on the web" price rather than a "phone to book" one).
Secure parking, minibus to and from the terminal. No complaints here.

DON'T use QPark Flyaway - carpark is 200 yards long and 3 miles added to my mileage, wonder if the stretch of dual carriageway just outside the gate had anything to it...hmmmmmm.

wrxmike - maybe that car park is a holding area for incoming / outgoing cars, and they are parked off site.
Just a thought, as when I parked at BCP, I think they took the car somewhere away from where I dropped it off. Didn't put 3 miles on it though, maybe they are closer to McDonalds..... ;-)
