Default Public justice in malaysia

I'm having my hols in Malaysia and spied this story in the local papers. Refreshing sometimes to get away from PC
Britain once in a while and see how other places deal with their bad guys

I wouldn't be surprised if this guy also gets caned under the justice system as well.

There's no way he would have been even arrested in this country. His friendly local CPS representative would have ensured that he got the best representation possible in his pursuit through the courts of those who assaulted him

Not that un-common, especially in muslim states. You need to be a bit careful in Kenya, cry "thief" and there is a very good chance the perpetrator will be caught, just not much chance of them being alive (or recognisable without dental records) by the time the police get there. Necklacing is not the nicest method of dealing with street crime.

Talking

I wonder what the penalty is for photocopying an article from a newspaper and publishing it without permission

Hello

Well, you can attack burglers with gnomes apparently: http://edition.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/eu....ap/index.html

Woman beats off burglar with gnome

I went back into the kitchen and found a rolling pin in case he came down. I didn't want to break another gnome.

LONDON, England (AP) -- A grandmother stopped an intruder from entering her home by lobbing a heavy garden gnome at him, police said Friday.
