Grapefruit diet? Heart diet?

Grapefruit diet? Heart diet?
About 20 years ago I went on a diet which knocked me off 16 lb in 14 days..........and it stayed off.
Looking at myself accidentaslly in a full length mirror yesterday, I noticed the way my T-shirt was hanging and decided that the "Dai Fatbelly-Gutbucket" darts player image :was not what I wanted.
Unfortunately, I've lost the diet that worked for me. It started every day with half a grapefruit and a slice of wholemeal toast or bread, eaten dry, and had zero carbohydrates but LOADS of protein on it.
Some meals were things like "eat as much fresh fruit as you can" or "as much lean steak as you want and 4 tomatoes".
Anyone recognise it, and have a copy, by chance?
TIA,
Alcazar, (no offence to darts players: )

u will have lost a HEAP of lean mass in those 14 days. 2 weeks you'll probably lose about 2-3lbs of actual bodyfat TOPS... the rest will be water and lean muscle tissue. you can get similar results by hacking off a limb. i guaran-damn-tee the weight will stay off with that approach too ;p
as to that diet... grapefruit and toast is just carbs... almost no protein in both of them, but loads of carbs. as much fruit as you like... also carbs with minimal protein.
if you want to do high protein, low carb diet... you want to get all your carbs from veggies and eat plenty of meat and fish for protein. aim to lose 1-2lbs/week maximum. anything more is bad for you health and will NOT be fat that you're losing.
your fat didnt all go on in the space of 2 weeks... so dont expect to lose it in 2 weeks either. think lifestyle change, not quick-fix

Plus, you CANNOT spot reduce fat without going under the surgeon's knife. So, loosing lots of lean muscle mass and water won't rid you of a belly. Depends on your body composition, but the belly could be the last to go starting off with your thighs, chest or arms.
You don't need to spend vast amounts of money or get bored stupid in a gym. A few sets of basic circuits in the morning and before bed will start getting you trim.
Don't get fooled into looking simply at your weight on a set of bathroom scales or just "looking" thin. You don't really want to lose muscle and water at the expense of keeping your fat. You may look slightly trimmer around the waist, but you'll have the chest and arms of a girl
