Fuel duty
Can any body tell me how much tax/duty is taken by the govenment for every pound spent on fuel. Over three months i am going to see how much tax i give to them in total expenditure.

Just got back from Spain...Petrol's gone up a bit recently to about 90 cents a litre, 60p ish.
Most things seem considerably cheaper, food, cars, healthcare, 25cl bottles of San Miguel 20p . Oh and the weathers nice
OK I wouldn't want to live there full time but I've seen a noticeable fall in my standard of living in the last few years despite several pay increases. Britain is unfortunately no longer more developed than many places in Europe.
Just an observation.
