Can some one please answer this question.....

Sarah who presents the show is a multi-million air who owns dozens and dozens of houses and has been re-developing property for over a decade. Suprisingly she knows her stuff.

Can anyone tell me at all why everyone who starts their very first project decides to IGNORE her advise.

They go in and explain their plans to her, she points out maybe little ways to make it work better and they say:

"ah i dot agree"
"ah but i think it would look nice like this"
"i think this will make more money"

NO.. NO.. NO.. Take the advise you retards. You are getting free advise from a woman who usually charges alot for her tallents.

75% of the people who go on that program do NOT deserve to be developers who even have the chance. No one even appears to do market research or budgeting before jumping in! How the hell the banks give them the money i do not know!

Too true, but it wouldn't make interesting telly if they did what she said.

I don't remember anyone in the programme actually losing money though since I've been watching, even though they had ignored her.

Didn't those 2 posh 'babes' (sisters I think ) make aloss on that awful art deco house they developed recently? (may have been a repeat on Sky but I've seen it in the last few weeks)

Many have made a profit only through rising house prices, i.e. they would have as much profit if they had done nothing. The new series may be more interesting as house price rises start to slow down

The Art Deco house was destroyed not developed !!!

Yes they lost money on that and were bailed out by parents I seem to remember.

More often than not they point out the fact that with no work and just waiting 3 months the same profit would have been gained !! How gutting would that be ? Coz half these muppets give up their day jobs. Also alot of them get free help from family and friends - they cannot see that this wont always be the case when no cameras are on them !!

Clever editing of the show actually has much of her 'advice' being given on commentry only, not actually given to the idiot.

She does give limited advice but seems to to watch them as they fall further off budget.

The woman this week ended up selling at cost, to her son, after 5 months with no offers! i.e. no profit after 3 months 'work'. Beeny said that she could make money in developing if she could buy at the right price, keep to her budget, and think like a developer (sound advice but not the sort you would pay for).

Funnily enough, the art deco house "done" by the posh sisters, is I believe in Poole. I was down that way last week and, driving aimlessly around, stumbled upon it!

Puppy jokes aside.......... Sarah has a good head on her shoulders and gives bloomin' good advice. I just think it makes good telly to see these plonkers ignoring said advice and going ahead with their daft ideas. Never have I seen such arrogant idividuals. They deserve all the lost revenue their mad ideas get them.

Tiggs.....dunno if you are male or female, but having children does unbelieveable things to ones body and its unfair of you to call our Sarah "a fat mess", because of this. Would you comment in a similar way about a fella if he'd ,say, got a glandular problem ?

To answer the original question Sarah is interested only in making a profit.Some of the people on the show want to make a profit,BUT also use it as a means of showing off their creativity/or lack of it.

....and if you saw GMTV on Monday,you'll see she has lost some weight and looks a bit less butch.

I think they should do a spin off series and watch how quickly the houses get sold after the new buyers see the program and realise what a shambles they've bought!

I often wonder about the people who buy these "doneup" houses.... do they see these shows and have a slow dawning sick feeling when they realise its their pad ?

What shocked me about this weeks programme was the fact I don't think the woman had put any of her own money in to the project, she somehow managed to convince her friend of 15 years to stump up the £170k.
Not only that but even half way thru that development and with it going **** up she manages to convince him to by another house 2 doors down for her to work her magic on!!!
