I've got another job!! wooohooo
Finally, after a 4.5 hour long assessment centre yesterday i've been offered another job.
Fantastic news........i can now go and hand in my notice at my current sh*t hole.
Just one question........ I am currently signed off sick by the doctor and will be for the remainder of my notice period. Is it possible that my current employer can refuse to pay me for my notice period if i am off sick, I have sent in the required doctors certificates to cover me for this period????
Gav.

Gav, congrats. I know what it's like to get up in the morning and hate your job, though I never got to the stage where I was sick because of it. Pleased to hear you made the change so quickly - good luck at the new place, whatever it is.

Congrats Gav1,
Just kind of done the same thing myself ... maybe a bit backwards that I resigned before finding myself something else but have found gainfull employment after only 2 days
Much better company, much happier, get to keep the Scoob and only 5 mins walk from where the missus works ... we can even meet in the pub for lunch
Avalyn.

Yep, feel I am back on track ... had bought an Ipod before resigning, hadn't opened it so told the missus to hide it and not let me use it till I had found another job
Thankfully only had 2 days of worrying about how we were going to pay the mortgage, car loans etc but it's defo a lesson to others out there that are unhappy .... get off your *** and find something better .. it's such a good feeling and <A-team mode on> I love it when a plan comes together <A-team mode off>
Drinks all round .. hoorah
