Default Car bomb in Iraq.

Just watched the news very graffic and disturbing.

Its not like the BBC news to show such footage.

A morbid question I know, but why do people of Islamic religion try to pick up every last piece of a victims body, even trying to scrape bits off a wall.

There must be a reason for this.

Over 100 dead and it doesnt even get a response on snet. Peeps are probs too busy discussing who won an oscar or how big the **** weretoday on page three.. Shame really but at the end of the day people have got used to it so dont tend to take much notice any more.

Because its "over there" they think it doesnt affect them.

US and UK have done a real good job in Iraq havent they.

It is true and a sad society we live in today. There will be 100 family's feeling immense grief as we speak.

US government yes, UK just followed (no less to blame). Soldiers on the ground I would suspect are just doing what they can to get by and live to tell the tale....

Personally I've given up on the whole thing.

Tony wants us all to move on anyway. There's an election coming.

I now know.

Or at least I think I know, the Jewish bit threw me, may be like you say, Moses can shed a bit of light.

Very sad. What more can you say. The future doesn't look promising either. Meanwhile billions of Iraqi oil dollars have been going missing. But with a backdrop of such mayhem who's going to bother worrying about that. Loads of people are making an absolute fortune out of all this chaos. The Iraqis are paying for it with their oil and their lives.

In my defence i got a b0ll0cking off the boss last friday for surfing the net too much at work, so I've been trying to keep off Scoobynet (or any of the net) during work hours.

I think it's about time the Beeb (and everyone else) started showing more graphic footage - people need to understand what violence is really like. Too many people have a Hollywood idea of what happens when you blow people up.

Not really sure about the answer to your original question but I know that some religions (Mormons?) don't believe in cremation because they believe something along the lines that the body will be raised whole on redemption day. As most faiths stem from one main area, maybe it's linked?

From what I can gather after a sauna chat, they collect all the scraps of the bodies so as to bury as much of the victim as possible.

The bodies live on after death, so its better to be whole apparently.

They even bury the gloves/clothing of the gatherers, and blankets and clothing of the victims, to keep as much as possible.

its sad, its the innocents getting killed, makes me sick, they suffered enuff from the hands of saddam, then the usa and uk and now zarqawi, u b@stards

pics just make me feel so sick, always the innocent ones getting killed, at least bush and blair are happy, lil iraqi america and lets screw their oil to the last drop and give contracts to the american firms.

yoza u are a soldier mate, u know this is just a touch , usa and uk have killed over 100.000 civilians or more so far and dont know how many orphans and widows are their or paraylsed.

iraqis have every right to defend their land against this evil occupation and also zarqawi the b@stard, killing his own muslim brothers and sisters, fecking w@nker.

regarding the dead body parts, bury what u can of pieces, its the persons body, its sacred, but if some parts do go missing, its cool, what can u do if u cant find them.

part of the reason yoza we dont allow post mortems in our religion, some get it done coz of the laws of the country if theirs a murder or something.

a body is to be respected and we bury our dead asap within a day or 2
