I've got a HP Nitro Savage monster truck. Good for about 40mph at the moment (with standard 2 speed gearbox), but will be more once I've bought the truckzilla upgrade. Great fun, especially making it jump over logs etc

nitro cars are ****e once you have had a fifth scale.
26cc petrol engine.
much less smelly, much easier to start, much lower state of tune yet 26cc instead of 3.5.
pull start strimmer engine with a proper spark plug and a proper induction coil, so no glow plug power supply.
Start every time, run on two stroke mix, have individual brakes on the wheels adn are good for serious speeds and look realistic at the same time.

Your post is a bit like someone saying 22b's are ****e when you've had a Gallardo in response to a thread asking about a common interest in Scoobs.
I doubt you intended your post to be so negative and up your own backside - having a bad day are we ?

I had fusion with the top grearing- take some advice, take the wheels and tyres and throw them in the bin, at higher speeds the tyres centrifuge off the rims, this makes the car MEGA skittish.
Go to the model shop and get some of these - get the pre glued ones. http://www.medialpro.com/english/pro...us/10piste.htm
these sell them and are very helpfull:

One of the lads clocked his fusion on a radar gun at 89 mph - if it's your first Nitro stick with the standard gearing for now

Diablo, ram it up your ****, I am having a great day.
My comparison is nothing like that of a gallardo versus a 22B as both these options are well under £1000 and perhaps a few hundred quid apart.
I am entitled to say X is better than Y and I stand by it, having had both.
You don't have to be elitist or mega rich to take the fifth scale over the fusion, and those looking at the market should considered the options before being tempted.
the fifth runs on unleaded (optimax if you want!) and is much cheaper to fill up. £4 will get you about 10 tanks, each last about 45 minutes, compare that to nitro fuel! Plus it smells a lot less.
On top of that the cars are stronger and have more mass, they actually handle like real cars and need the tyres to get some heat in them before they grip properly.
They aren't as nippy, but are much more enjoyable to drive. you do need a much bigger flatter surface though and no you can't hide them under your bed, they need more of a room!

I love an 1:8th scale serpent or proceed, but with nitro cars you need to be putting some serious time into the hobby, out of all types of rc 1:8 is the kiddie, but I don't have the time .
As adam says, 1:5 scale is easy peasy - add petrol -enjoy
powerkiter - modelsport in otley do a pretty good range of FG 1:5th cars, there also ebay, make sure you give it a good lokk at though if you go down that road.
This cost me about £550 from modelsport with all radio gear:

Great fun stuck mainly to electric stuff though, haven't raced in a while due to time and spiralling costs always wanted an 1/8 onroad car but theres nowhere realy near enough to justify the cost of buying one.

Hi,
well i`ve got 3 RC`s at the moment,
a hyper 7 1/8th scale buggy,
a Revo 1/10th scale monster truck,
and an FG marder, a 1/6th 23cc petrol buggy.
the hyper great for tracks, short grass and car parks, handles very well, the Revo i`ve only had since last thursday, but they are great for anywhere, and the marder is for the easy to use, tune, start option, and i guess after nitro you wanna go bigger, plus i have found a great place to abuse it...!!1
heres some pics

I saw a marder in action ages ago, what a piece of kit, it was on a car par covered in stone prior to tarmac - tore it to bits
To the original poster - I would seriousley weigh up where you can take the car before you spend any money (oops, fusion too late ). They ( all RC cars ) are all good in different ways, its a case of getting a car to suit your surface so to speak.
fusion - B&Q warehouse carpark sunday morn before 10 AM
did I ever post this picture - started as 2 x 1:6 scale protech's:

The Savage seems pretty easy to tune (just a quick twist of a screwdriver for the engine, and the same to alter the gearbox gear change point). Not had mine for a long time, (since November) but I've not had any tuning problems so far.
Loads of spare / replacement / upgrade parts available as well, and it's cheaper than modding the scoob

the hpi savage is a very strong and capable t truck, theres a new one out anytime, with a bigger engine, comes in a kit form, you will need to add radio gear though,
http://www.hpi-europe.com/ a helpfull place to go!
the internet must have really helped this hobby out a lot, what with all the websites, pics, videos, ebay etc, theres loads of advice, and hop-up parts available everywhere now a days, my advice is simple,
GET ONE!

I have a electric team associated tc3 in my garage.
wheels need replacing, and there is no body, but I probably have a complete set up minus transmitter if someone wants it.
I havent used it in ages.
I think I have two possibly three sets of 2000 cells, a peak twelve triple motor, a very very high powered servo (ko fet) and possibly a micor receiver.
There is also a novak rooster speed controller in the desk draw next to me.
anyone interested in this lot.
I would let it go for a stupidly low price.
Put it this way, was going to give it away but I would like to maybe get something back on it.
anyone interested?

guys, I have changed my mind.
I want a 21 engined two speed 4wd 10th scale car. and I will retain my radio gear but thats it.
Does such a car exist as I would like to make a replica of the 22B and have some fun with it occasionally.
don't think I know of any 21 engined 10th scales, but I would expect them to be considerably quicker than an 8th scale.

the fusion is .21 engined 4wd 10th scale - ridiculousley quick for not too much money - see the first few posts.
and you can get a subaru shell for it - not sure about 22b though.
btw, the fusion is 3 speed

3 speed suits me fine.
having said that, years of driving schumachers lead me to hate them, don't yokomo or team associated make something equivalent, or even traxxas, come to think of it, even losi tamiya or kyosho would be better in terms of build quality.
Leave the shell to me!
