Default Sky+ problems..

Guys, all of a sudden my second input for the sky has packed in. I thought it may have been the cable so I bought another yet it still refuses to work. I have tried using the other connectors on the quad LNB but still nowt. Anyone help out here or suggest something?

I think you'll find its a hard drive fault.
When its FUBAR it shows the fault as being the 2nd LNB input.

Read about it on a Sky forum but can't remember where.

If its out of warranty, stick a new Hard drive in.

EDIT TO ADD:
Assuming its a V2 box, then to upgrade from the standard 40Gb HDD to a 80Gb HDD will cost around £30 ish. Do a google search and you'l' find loads of info on it.
The easiest way is to buy a Maxtor 6YO8OLO 80Gb HDD and its a direct swap. Shouldn't even need formatting, just do a engineer reset on the box after fitting.

Good Link here http://www.hummer.co.uk/sky.htm

To chech the cable just swap the inputs over then check the signal on the signal test pages.
