Bungee Jumping
After trying bungee jumping for the first time last year on a 170ft rig in essex through the UK Bungee Club I'm up for doing it again but perhaps on a bigger scale.
Does anybody know of anywhere, preferably in the south of the england although will travel that does bigger jumps, say 250 or 300 feet?
Thanks
David

Just had a response to an e-mail sent to the UK Bungee Club and they are planning a weekend of 300ft jumps in essex next August. I'll definately be booking but seems a long time away, any other suggestions welcome

Best day out we ever had was a day trip to Normandy to do the AJ Hackett jump off an old disused viaduct.
The drive over was a riot... as was the drive back (we were late for the ferry and thank God the French police don't patrol like ours do!)
The site is excellent, the organisation superb, and the jump... wow

For a real adrenalin jolt, do a solo parachute jump. I did a solo static line square (steerable) chute jump from just under 4000' in August, and it was the scariest/biggest adrenaline rush I have ever had

The t-shirt I'm currently wearing says
"Imagine a bridge over 160 metre tropical gorge with the Bhote Kosi one of Nepal's wldest rivers raging below... now jump."
That was my first bungee jump and was the second or third highest in the world at the time... as you left the bridge all you could see was the the rock walls of the gorge, a crane never apealled after that... but was a HUGE rush
Also done a tandem skydive from 13000 feet.. also very cool and a huge rush as you roll over and see the plane above that you just jumped from

Solos are normally a two day course. For us, it was first day nine hours of intensive training, second day we jumped
As they said in the training, it's a solo jump, once you go out of the plane, we can't help you, you are on your own, and you have to sort out whatever malfunction you might get (in reality, extremely rare, but you need to be prepared for it). Pushing myself off the side of the plane into space was the hardest and scariest thing I have ever done, but once the chute opened and I realised I wasn't going to die, and my girlfriend wasn't going to get all my money, the descent was enjoyable - I wanted to go up and do it again
For pooing yourself type sensations, can't recommend it enough

Did the Pipeline in New Zealand - 102m/340ft, as on the T-shirt (somewhat tattered now). I decided if you're going to do it, do it properly.
DL - LOL, was it only me that got it?? BTTT

Thanks Brendan . I did have in mind a joke I heard on TV recently but thread seemed a bit serious...... Entre nous it was about the chap who left his girlfriend cos she kept lying about her weight. What happened to her? She came to grief during a bungee jump...... D
